Calgary has been decent so far this season, but they didn’t play well against Montreal and collapsed late in the game as their offense struggled. Now Jake Maier takes his team on the road where they are 0-2 straight up this season. The issue with Maiers is he doesn’t make the clutch plays in those spots that tilt the game, like the meltdown he had versus Montreal, and there have been other hiccups this season. It is hard to tell if he is going to do well on the road in this spot. Now Winnipeg are at home off their first win and are looking to make it two with some momentum on their side. Winnipeg faces one of the worst run defenses in the league so they should have success running the football in this game. The Bluebombers may have figured a few things out since the season started, like giving the ball to RB Brady Oliveira which seems to be a winner for this team. He had a good game and is starting to play more like his old self. Winnipeg looks like they have found something to stand on in this home game, and has the advantage of being at home with no travel. They should win and cover this small number as they control the clock and the run game.
