Point Spread: -4.50 | -108.00 Las Vegas (Away)
Result: Win
The Aces are 6-2 against the spread in the last 8 meetings and come into this series on a huge winning run. This is the seventh straight home game for Seattle where they are 5-1 straight up while the Aces are 7-1 straight up in their last eight games with Chelsea Gray in the lineup. The Aces are one of two elite teams in the league and last season's champion. Post Gray, they have been on a tear and have gone on a winning run. Vegas has beaten the Storm twice this season by double digits and they should be able to beat the Storm at home. What is interesting to note about the Storm is that they have beaten all the lower and mid level teams at least once or twice if they played more than once, but they don’t have quality wins over the three best teams in the league, namely, the Liberty, the Aces and the Lynx. As good as the Storm are, they have failed to beat these teams even once and these are the teams they have to get by to win it all at the end of the season. This spot favors the Aces because they are going to treat this game as a playoff type game and going to go off on the Storm. This is such a small spread for the Aces to cover, even on the road where they have beaten teams by double digits. The Aces are 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings in Seattle. The Storm are good, and a force at home, but the Aces are on a different level in skill and talent and they should beat the Storm again even though this is a double revenge spot for Seattle. They won’t have the horses to keep up with the Aces.
Best bet: lay the small number with the Aces.
