The Yankees are back at home and had a much needed day off. They should come out in this game and win by more than a few runs. Their offense has been so powerful this last month and it’s hard to get in front of that. They also have a strong home record of 18-8 and they are also 30-13 as the favorite this season. Gil has been solid for New York this season and he is the better pitcher than Ober, who is better at home than on the road. His ERA on the road is over 5 and he is susceptible to giving up hits and homeruns which is always dangerous against a powerful Yankee lineup. The Twins haven’t had good success against the Yankees on the road in the past, they are 4-16 straight up in their last 20 games when playing on the road against the Yankees. Gil is going to shut down the Twins offense and they won’t get much from him in this game because he's given up very little in his last few starts. The Yankees have put up over 20 runs in their last few games and their offense will just overpower the Twins in this spot at home, especially since they are the best team against right handed pitchers right now. The Twins are 1-5 straight up this season trying to avenge two straight losses where the team scored 2 or less runs. The Yankees are 11-1 straight up this season against AL Central opponent. Gil is 8-1 straight up this season as a favorite of -110 or higher.
