Megill didn’t have a good game in his last start and they are up against the Nationals that have Gore on the mound who is the better pitcher. He’s been good against the Mets and he should pitch a good game in this spot. Gore also pitched well recently against the Braves so his form is good. Gore is 3-1 straight up as a favorite of -110 or higher. The Mets have been terrible with generating any offense this season and they are worse on the road so there should be very little from the Mets, especially against left handed pitchers where they really struggle. They have been so untrustworthy and inconsistent, it is hard to back them in this spot. The Mets are 1-5 straight up in their last 6 games on the road. Washington is back at home in this game and with Gore on the mound, a rising star for them, should get the win. Washington has been good in their division and against NL East opponents going 8-4 straight up in their last twelve games. Washington is 8-3 against the money line versus a NL team with an on base percentage .315 or worse this season, like the Mets.
