The Diamondbacks are in danger of getting swept in this series by the Padres who have broken out offensively in this series. They have a chance with Waldron on the mound who has pitched better on the road than at home. The Padres offense has been hitting and putting up runs in this series to the tune of 20, and they should have the edge again in this third game. Arizona is struggling to get anything going with their offense, only scoring a paltry 2 runs in two games, and they may not be able to back up Nelson in this one. He also hasn’t pitched in over two and a half weeks. The better team in this series is the Padres and Mack will take a chance with them.

Best bet: take San Diego and the plus money on the moneyline (ML).
