The Rams are coming into this game with a 4-5 record this season and despite being under .500 right now, they are only 2 wins behind the Cardinals who lead the division and they are right in this division race with a 2-1 record in the NFC West. They are coming off of a 23-15 loss at home to the Dolphins in their last game, but prior to that loss they had won 3 straight games so they are going to be hungry to bounce back here as they have been playing much better in recent games. They are going up against a Patriots team that is 3-7 this season and they have been playing much better in their recent games. They have won 2 of their last 3 games and they are coming off of a 19-3 win on the road against the Bears in their last game, but this is still one of the weaker teams in the league this season and they have been overachieving in their last 3 games. Drake Maye has not been playing poorly since taking over at quarterback, but this is still a Patriots team that needs to run the ball to win games and the Rams were very good at stopping the run against the Dolphins in their last game. This will be a game that the Rams can focus on stopping the run to slow down this offense, forcing Maye to beat them with his arm which will be tough for a rookie who is still finding his way. The Patriots have not been allowing many points on defense recently, but they have also played a lot of weaker offenses recently and the Rams have a lot of weapons for Stafford to hurt them with. The Rams also have a very good run game with Kyren Williams and he is going to open up the passing game for Stafford as the Patriots have not been defending the run well recently. This will be a nice bounce back game for the Rams to get back in the division race in the NFC West. The Rams will cover the spread in this game.
