Point Spread: -14.50 | -105.00 Ducks (ORE) (Away)
Result: Win
Oregon is coming into this game with an 8-0 record this season and they are 5-0 in the conference. They have not a crazy strong schedule this season, but they do have some quality wins against Boise State, Ohio State, and Illinois. They struggled in 2 of those games against ranked opponents, but they are coming off of a 38-9 win over Illinois in their last game and all 4 of their non-ranked FBS wins have been by 21+ points. They are on the road here in a game they have to travel across the country for, but this will be their 2nd time this season as they already beat Purdue 35-0 on the road a few weeks ago. They are going up against a Michigan team that is 5-3 this season and 3-2 in the conference. They are coming off of a win against Michigan State in their last game. but they have lost 2 of their last 3 games with both losses coming by 10+ points. Both of those games were on the road, but they do have 1 loss at home this season and it came against the number 6 Texas team, losing 31-12. Oregon is the number 1 team in the country right now and they have a very good defense that has not been allowing a lot of points. They have allowed just 9 points total in their last 2 games alone and have allowed 14 points or less in 5 of their last 6 games. They also have an offense that has scored 31+ points in their last 7 straight games. Michigan does not have a good passing game as they have had a quarterback problem all season so they are going to rely more on the run game which has been good for them. Oregon does have a good run defense though and they are going to be able to load up the box and focus on stopping the run here, forcing Michigan to throw the ball against their good pass defense which has been a problem all year. Michigan has been very good at stopping the run themselves, but their pass defense is nowhere near what it was last season and Oregon has a very accurate quarterback in Dillon Gabriel who will be able to pick them apart. Oregon will keep scoring points in this game while Michigan struggles to respond and that will be the difference here. Oregon will cover the spread in this game.
