The Hurricanes are coming into this game with a 5-2-0 record this season and they have been playing very well recently. They started the season by splitting their 2 games at home, but now they have won 4 of their last 5 games on the road trip they have been on. It started with a 4-1 win in Pittsburgh and their only loss in that 5 game span was a close 4-3 loss in St Louis. They have played their last 3 games of this road trip out West, beating the Oilers, the Flames, and the Kraken, and their defense has been great in these. They have allowed just 2 goals or less in each of their last 3 as well as 5 of their last 6 games, and even their offense has scored 4 goals in each of their last 2 games. They are coming off of a 4-1 win against the Kraken in their last game, but now they are playing the last game of their 6 game road trip before going back home in the East and fatigue is going to start settling in for this team. They are going up against a Canucks team that is 4-1-2 this season and has been very hot in their recent games. They started the season with 3 straight losses, even losing 2 of those in very close games that went to OT, but they have been on fire since then with 4 straight wins. Their defense has been much better in these games and they have also been scoring goals as well, scoring 10 goals in their last 2 games alone. They returned from a 3 game road trip out East after last Tuesday, but they had a few days of rest before playing again on Saturday which they won at home against the Penguins. Now they have 2 more games left in their homestand and they are both against teams from the East so they will be looking to take advantage of those teams traveling. This is a great spot for the Canucks at home against a Hurricanes team playing the last game of a road trip that they have been on fire for. The Canucks will win this game at home.
