The Lakers are coming into this game with a 3-0 record this season and they are going to be playing their 1st road game of the season now. They have won their last 3 straight games at home and they have beaten some quality teams in that span, beating the Timberwolves, the Suns, and the Kings. They got off to a slower start in their last 2 games, but they have been dominating the 2nd half in their games and JJ Reddick has been making a big impact in his 1st season as head coach. They are going up against a Suns team that is 2-1 this season with their only loss coming to the Lakers in LA, but that was also a game they were leading by 20 points in and still lost by 7 points in the end. They also struggled against the Clippers in their season opener, beating the Clippers by just 3 points in OT, and they were missing their best player in the lineup as well. Now they are coming off of a win in their 1st game at home, beating the Mavericks 114-102, but the Suns struggled to keep a lead in their game against the Lakers already and that is not the 1st time that has happened this season either. They got out to an early lead against the Clippers as well and ended up blowing that lead, needing OT to win the game. They were able to control the game more at home against the Mavericks in their last game, but the Lakers have all the momentum with them right now and the confidence of having beaten this team this season already. The Lakers will not allow the Suns to get out to an early lead like they did in the last game, but even if they do the Lakers will be able to come back in this game with the Suns not playing great defensively. The Lakers will cover the spread in this game.
