Liberty is coming into this game with a 5-0 record this season and the Conference USA Champions from last season will be pushing to stay undefeated as they currently lead the conference again. They only won their last game by 7 points against FIU at home, but they are coming off of their bye and will be ready to go for this game. Their offense has been very consistent this season as they have scored 28+ points in all 5 of their games. They are going up against a Kennesaw State team that is 0-6 this season and they have been playing like a team that was not ready to take the jump from FCS to FBS. They are coming off of a 14-5 loss to Middle Tennessee in their last game which has been one of the worst teams in the conference this season, and prior to that they got blown out at home by Jacksonville State 63-24. That was the most points they have scored in a game all season as well, scoring 16 points or less in 5 of their 6 games and scoring 10 points or less in 3 of their last 5 games. Kennesaw State has been awful at defending the run this season as they are averaging 186.2 rushing yards allowed per game as well as 5 yards per carry. They will struggle to defend this Liberty offense that has been averaging 229.4 rushing yards per game and 5.1 yards per carry. Liberty has also been defending the run well themselves and this is a Kennesaw team that is averaging less than 100 rushing yards per game so they will not be able to run the ball well here and the rest of their offense will struggle as they are not a strong passing team either. Liberty was one of the highest ranked group of 5 teams last season and this year they are still undefeated but not ranked as they have not been blowing teams out, but they still have a chance to make the CFP if they impress over this 2nd half of the season so they are going to come out strong and motivated in this game.
