Game 2 was also in LA so Darvish is going to have confidence coming back to this ballpark which he pitched great in already in this series. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is starting for the Dodgers in this game and he is 7-2 with a 3.00 ERA this season. He also pitched earlier in this series but he was not very good. He pitched in game 1 at home which the Dodgers won 7-5, but he allowed 5 earned runs in that game and only had 1 strikeout in 3 innings. That was his 3rd time facing the Padres this season as well and he was not very good in his other 2 starts. In his 2 starts during the regular season, he allowed 3 earned runs in 5 innings and 5 earned runs in 1 inning, and all 3 starts against the Padres this season have been at home as well. Yamamoto has struggled against the Padres all season and he is still just in his rookie season with this being his 2nd ever playoff start in the MLB. The Dodgers have a good offense, but so do the Padres as they have been very hot throughout the playoffs and they are going to find a way to win this game and get through to the NLCS.
