The Blackhawks are coming into this game off of an awful season where they were one of the worst teams in the NHL. They have improved their first 2 lines and Connor Bedard is now in his 2nd season in the NHL. Their offense is going to improve this season and they are going to be hungry to get off to a better start to the season this year. They are going up against a Utah Hockey Club team that will want to make a strong impression in their first ever NHL game. This is also their home opener so they will be pushing for goals here to put on a good performance for the home crowd. The Coyotes were one of the worst teams in the NHL for years, but recently they have been improving over the last few seasons and now a fresh start in Utah should ignite this team. The Coyotes never had much of an atmosphere at home either, playing in a small arena with not a lot of home support, but now they are going to be playing in a full stadium under a new franchise and that is going to fire this team up. Utah will be pushing to win this game and win their first ever NHL game at home, but the Blackhawks will also be pushing to win as they do not want to be the team that gives Utah their first ever win in the league. Both teams have improved offensively and with the crowd fired up for the first hockey game in Utah, there is going to be goals in this game. Between these two sides, there will be enough goals in this game to push it over the total.
