Washington is coming into this game with a 3-1 record this season and they are coming off of their 1st win in the conference as a Big 10 team. They won at home against Northwestern 24-5, but Northwestern is one of the weaker teams in the conference and so far Washington has played all 4 of their games at home this season. Their offense has not been great either, averaging just 27 points per game and the most points scored in a game this season being 35 points against an FCS team. Moving the ball has not been an issue for them as they have a good run game and a very good passing game with Will Rogers, but scoring has been a struggle and this is going to be the best defense they have seen all season so far. They are going up against a Rutgers team that is 3-0 this season and they have played very well to start the season. They won both of their home games by 30+ points against weaker teams, Howard and Akron, but they are coming off of a very impressive road win against Virginia Tech last week, winning 26-23 but dominating that game as VA Tech scored 16 points in the 4th quarter. Rutgers has a very good running game that is averaging 255.7 yards per game and 5.4 yards per carry, and their passing game has also been good with Kaliakmanis. They also have a very good pass defense that is only allowing 134.7 passing yards per game and barely allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete more than 50% of their passes. Washington has also had a good defense in their first 4 games this season, but they have not played any strong offensive teams and their lack of scoring will hurt them here. They got their 1st Big 10 win last week at home against Northwestern, but this is a much better team they are facing and on the road with a tough travel across the country.
