Kansas State is coming into this game with a 3-0 record this season. They won their only road game against Tulane, but they won 34-27 and were trailing in that game. They are going up against a BYU team that is also 3-0 this season and has been very good on defense. They have not allowed more than 15 points in any of their 3 games this season, and they have played 2 of their 3 games on the road as well. Their only home game this season was also against an FCS team so this is their 1st home game against an FBS opponent as well as their 1st conference game this season. BYU has been good in the run game but they have been much better with their passing game, averaging 289.3 passing yards per game. They also have a very good defense that is only averaging 105.7 rushing yards against and 130.7 passing yards against per game, also allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete less than 50% of their passes. Kansas State has a very good run game with their dual threat quarterback, averaging 244.3 rushing yards per game, and they will find success on the ground in this game as passing will be more difficult against this defense. Kansas State has had a great run defense so far, averaging 80.3 rushing yards per game, but their weakness is with their pass defense and BYU will be able to attack that at home. Kansas State is going to try to keep this game more on the ground as that is where they will find success against this defense and they will not be able to pull away too much with their run heavy offense.
