The Browns are coming into this game off of a 33-17 loss to the Cowboys at home in their 1st game of the season. They were awful in that game as the offense struggled to score, going down 20-3 by halftime, and the defense could not stop the Cowboys offense at all. Deshaun Watson did not play well in that game as he had 169 passing yards with 1 TD and 2 INts, and they struggled to run the ball as well. They are going up against a Jaguars team that is also coming off of a loss in their 1st game of the season, but they played much better in their loss. They lost on the road against the Dolphins 20-17 in a game that they had complete control of in the 1st half. They were up 17-7 by halftime, but their offense completely stalled in the 2nd half as they scored no points. Their defense played well in that game though and they could only do so much in the 2nd half with the offense unable to stay on the field. Now the Jaguars are at home for their 1st home game of the season and they are getting a Browns team that is not in good spirits. The Browns offense is already dealing with injuries to Njoku and some key pieces in the offensive line as well and they already struggled to protect Watson in that 1st game. The Jaguars defense will be able to get some pressure on Watson here and the Browns offense will be easier to defend than that Dolphins offense last week. The Jaguars will also play better on offense here being at home and that Browns defense is not as scary as it was last season with some key pieces now gone from the team. The Jaguars will cover the spread in this game.
