AMEDEUS' MLB BOOKIE BATTER!
(MLB) Minnesota vs. Houston,
Money Line: -111.00 Houston (Home)
Result: Loss
The Twins are coming into this game with a 31-25 record this season and they have been playing well in their recent games. They have won 3 of their last 4 games as they just beat the Royals in a 4 game series, but now they are going on the road and going up against an Astros team that is looking to get on a run now. The Astros are 25-32 this season as they have not been playing well, but they have been better at home this year and will have some confidence as they avoided getting swept by the Mariners with a 4-0 win in their last game. They also have Ronel Blanco starting in this game and he is 5-0 with a 1.99 ERA this season as he has been their best starter on the season so far. His worst start this year was a start which he allowed 3 earned runs in 6 innings pitched, and he has not allowed more than 2 earned runs in any of his other 8 starts this season. He is also coming off of a great start which he allowed 1 earned run in 7 innings. Pablo López is starting for the Twins in this game and he is 4-5 with a 5.25 ERA this season. He has not been pitching well this year as he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in each of his last 3 as well as 5 of his last 7 starts, and that has been the case in a majority of his starts this season as well. He has been awful in his last 2 starts alone as he has allowed at least 6 earned runs in each, pitching no more than 5 innings in either as well. The Astros offense has not been great but they are going to have some confidence here at home after avoiding the sweep yesterday and this is the spark their offense needs with the way Lopez has been pitching all year. The Twins will also struggle to score runs themselves with Blanco pitching very well right now and that will be the difference in this game. The Astros will win this game.
