I’m on the under in this Diamondbacks @ Pirates matchup for these reasons:

- Brandon Pfaadt for Arizona has 115 strikeouts in 126 innings pitched, Luis Ortiz for the pirates has 63 strikeouts in 78 innings pitched but he has a 2.75 ERA. For the diamondbacks, this should be a relatively easy day for Brandon to get strikeouts, while for Ortiz it should be more of a test, but he doesn’t allow many runs which will keep Pittsburgh in the game at least for his 5-6 innings.

- When it comes to playing against the diamondbacks, my question is always “can the pitcher cause problems for Marte and the other lefties on the Arizona batting rotation” and for this game I do see Ortiz making a big things tough for them. He is only allowing a batting average of .198 to lefties this season, and he really is very successful when he starts at home in terms of allowing any runs.
