NFL - Colts @ Falcons
(NFL) Indianapolis vs. Atlanta,
Point Spread: 2.50 | 100.00 Indianapolis (Away)
Result: Loss
Colts have been climbing defensively this season and have only lost to playoff caliber opponents on the road (Bengals and Jags). Falcons will be aiming to bounce back from a demoralizing loss on the road to the lowly Panthers, but that offense is going to struggle to score more than 20 points here with Taylor Heineke being their best option undercenter. You know the Colts are taking this game seriously being that they are finally bringing back Johnathan Taylor from a thumb injury to take advantage of the opportunity to jump the Jags for the division if Jacksonville loses @ Tampa Bay (Trevor Lawrence questionable to play). Falcons defense has been legit but has holes in their run defense that 2 studs like Zach Moss JT should be able to carve through which will inevitably open up the passing game for a dangerous Michael Pittman who has been a matchup nightmare. Finally, Shane Stiechen has been a godsend at coach for a Colts franchise that I thought was dead in the water after losing rookie sensation Anthony Richardson, but these guys have banded together and had been much more competent and professional unlike Atlanta who have failed to utilize Bijan Robinson efficiently, as if trying to lose games purposefully. I'm not betting money on Arthur Smith in a must win spot again, they robbed us vs a worst team last week as a short favorite.
