NFL - Saints @ Rams
(NFL) New Orleans vs. LA Rams,
Point Spread: -4.00 | -110.00 LA Rams (Home)
Result: Win
Rams have too much firepower to not win this game by atleast a Touchdown. Saints in the stat-book seem to be a good pass defense, but you look at the teams they've played this season they only have beaten the Giants, Panthers twice, Patriots, Titans, Colts, and Bears. Only team on that list that is at .500 or better, is the Colts (who they played in the earlier part of the season) so I do think the numbers are inflated heading into this matchup vs a Rams teams surging with stellar play but have had a tough schedule and are seeing the right teams at the right time to make a playoff push. Rams passing defense is a concern (every team has scored 14 or more in SoFi Stadium besides the Cardinals) but on thr flip side, good to decent QBs have torched the Saints (Joshua Dobbs and Jared Goff threw for over 230 with 2 TDs each). Matt Stafford and his offense to me, is just as good if not better than the Lions weapons and will be getting Ramcyk back on the O-Line and TuTu Atwell back at WR from a concussion. One thing Rams can do that should boost the confidence in them winning this gane decisively, is their ability to stop the Runningbacks in the passing game is best in the league (which is Alvin Kamara's bread and butter) at only 20.29 yards allowed to Recieving RBs on average. If they can make Derek Carr one dimensional by eliminating that part of the passing game, it should be easier to force Carr into mistakes downfield. Falcons did a great job vs Saints pressing Carr at the line of scrimmage and Carr threw 0 TDs in that recent road loss, I think Rams have just as good of, if not a better defensive line to shake up the Saints offense from the snap of the ball, and with this First year coach facing an offensive mastermind that is Sean Mcvay, I have to take the rams under a TD. I see this game ending 24-17 Rams win if not more points scored by the home team.
