The Jets read west to take on the 49ers. New York had high expectations for last season but they were quickly dashed when Aaron Rodgers was lost four plays into the season. San Francisco reached the Super Bowl, but lost to the Chiefs in overtime. The Jets finished 2023 with a 7-10 record. AAron Rodgers returns under center, Breece Hall rushed for 994 yards and five touchdowns last season. On the defensive side, the Jets allowed 20.1 points which was sixth worst. New York’s offense put up 15.7 points per game which ranked third worst in the NFL. The Jets were 6-10-1 against the spread in 2023 and 2-5-1 against the spread when on the road. The 49ers return almost all of their key players from last year’s Super Bowl team. Brock Purdy will need to pick up his game. Christian McCaffrey rushed for a career-high 1,459 yards last season with 14 rushing touchdowns. San Francisco put up 28.9 points per game last season which ranked third best. The defense allowed 17.5 points per game which ranked third. The 49ers were 11-6 against the spread last season and 7-2.ATS at home. Aaron Rodgers isn’t getting any younger and with his return from an Achilles injury it may take some time to get up to speed. San Fran returns pretty much everyone from one of the best offenses San Fran defense should be able to slow down the Jets and Rodgers. The 49ers were 7-2 ATS at home last season and I look for them to pick up where they left off
