The TransPerfect Music City Bowl pits the SEC Auburn Tigers against the Big 10 Maryland Terrapins. Auburn comes into this game at 6-6 while Maryland is 7-5. The Auburn Tigers have had several key-opt outs for this game. They have lost three wide receivers and they did not throw the ball well with them. Auburn's offense relied on the running attack led by Jarquez Hunter who rushed for 865 rushing yards. On the defensive side, they were a pretty good pass defense but have lost a key member of their d-line and edge rusher wish could put pressure on the secondary against the Maryland passing attack. Maryland Terrapins had a solid season but will be without quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who led the passing offense with 3,377 yards. Their defense will be tested with some key opt-outs but Auburn doesn’t throw the ball well anyways. Neither team will have their starting quarterbacks in this one and I think this is just too many points to give in a game that in all likelihood will be very low-scoring. Auburn will look to run the ball but Maryland has a very good run defense. This could be a battle of field goals so I will take the POINTS.
