The Bears let one get away last week, being outscored 24-0 down the stretch by the equally bad Denver Broncos. The offense finally found a rhythm, especially in the first half but you have to put it in the perspective that it was against a historically bad defense. Justin Fields is coming off his best game of the season with three touchdown passes in the second quarter. The Bears will struggle to find the same success against an outstanding Commanders defensive front against a banged-up and makeshift offensive line. The Commanders played well against Philadelphia, taking the Eagles into overtime. Sam Howell has not been great and takes chances down the field and that may pay dividends with their wideouts against a Bears secondary that is playing people off other teams' practice squads. This game will be close so I am taking the points but holding my nose while doing it.
