The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs finish off a four-game weekend set. Jordan Montgomery will make his 20th start of the season for the Cards. He is 6-7 this season with a 3.14 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. The Cards are 11th in total runs scored and eighth in batting average. Jameson Taillon gets the call for the Cubs in this one. He has struggled this season, since coming over in free agency. He is just 3-6 with a 6.05 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. The Cubs are 10th in runs scored and 14 in batting average. Taillon. has been a disappointment this season. Chicago’s bullpen was used a lot yesterday as it was a bullpen game and they went through six pitchers. Taillon does not go long into games so the Cubs will be at a disadvantage when it goes to the bullpens. The Cards had a lead four different times yesterday but couldn't hold it. I like the Cards in this one.
