The Diamondbacks and Braves finish up their three-game series today. The D'backs will be going for the sweep with Zac Gallen getting the start for Arizona in this one. He is 11-4 with a 3.14 ERA this season. The Braves will counter with Spencer Strider on the mound. He is 11-3 with a 3.66 ERA. Arizona is 4-8 over their last 12 games. Gallen is 1-2 over three July starts. He has a 3.79 ERA in 19 innings in July. Atlanta has lost four in a row. Gallen is just 2-4 with a 5.11 ERA in ten road starts this season. Over their first four matchups this season these two teams have averaged a combined 13.5 runs per game. but 29 runs came in one game. Of Gallen’s last six starts, two have finished with a total of seven runs, and two more with just six total runs. Three of Strider's last five starts have landed under the total. The under is 5-3 over the Braves’ last eight and 7-3 over the Diamondbacks' last ten. Both pitchers are coming off losses so I expect them to be on top of their game in this one.
