Miami and Washington finish up their three-game series with the Marlins looking for a sweep. The Marlins will send Jesus Luzardo to the mound. he is 5-5 this season with a 4.17 ERA. The Nats will counter with Patrick Corbin. He is 4-7 this season with a 4.81 ERA. The Marlins are 10-3 over their last 13 games and held their opponent to a run or less in six of those games. Luzardo is 0-2 with a 6.12 ERA in five starts versus Washington and is coming off his worst start of the season. The Nats are just 1-10 in their last 12. Washington is ranked third in the National League in team batting average but has scored the third-fewest runs. Corbin has gone 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in his last three starts. He is 5-6 with a 4.02 ERA in his career against Miami. The Marlins have won eight of the last 11 when playing against a team with a losing record. The Marlins have owned the Nationals, winning 10 of the last 12 played at Nationals Park and Miami has won 21 of the last 27 overall against the Nationals. Washington has lost nine of its last 11 overall. Miami has won nine of Luzardo’s 14 starts this season. Miami is the better team and is playing better baseball. I like the Marlins to get the sweep in this one as they have dominated the Nationals.
