The Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals meet in the first game of a three-game interleague series in Kansas City. The Reds will hand the ball to Luke Weaver while the Royals counter with Zack Greinke on the mound. Weaver had a rough start against the Dodgers in his last outing. He allowed seven runs on six hits in 3.2 innings. On the season, he has posted a 6.27 ERA, 1.42 WHIP. The Royals will look to veteran Zack Greinke to get things started. In his last outing, he lasted 4 1/3 innings giving up four hits and five runs. He has posted a 4.46 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP. The Royals have lost eight of their last 10. Weaver has been inconsistent all season for the Reds. The Problem with KC is that if Grienke does bounce back and pitches well, you have no faith in the KC offense producing runs as they are dead last in on-base percentage. I am taking the team that is playing better at the moment and at least has an offense that has shown it can put runs on the board.
