THE PROFESSOR’S MLB UPPER-DECK BLOWOUT
(MLB) Miami vs. Washington,
Money Line: -136.00 Miami (Away)
Result: Win
The Miami Marlins surprised some folks starting the season at 8-8. We have a couple of 0-3 pitchers matched up in this one but they are the same in their records only. The Marlins will go with Trevor Rogers on the mound. He pitched well in his last outing, going five shutout innings with four hits. The Washington Nationals are 6-13 this season. Patrick Corbin gets the start for the Nationals, In his last outing, he went just 1.2 innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

On the season, Trevor Rogers is 0-3, with a 6.94 ERA. In his career against the NL East, he is 3-9 with a 4.45 ERA in 17 games. Washington's Patrick Corbin has had an awful year. He is 0-3, with an atrocious 11.20 ERA. Surprisingly, he has struggled to pitch at home. He is 6-13 in 23 starts with a 5.74 ERA.

This will come down to pitching and hitting and right now the Nationals can do neither. Miami has not been tearing the cover off the ball but they are pitching well. Miami has a team ERA of 3.41 compared to the National's 5.41 ERA. Corbin has been terrible and I just don't see the Nats scoring enough runs with the way Corbin has been pitching.

Play on Miami. This is a 7* play.
