This game may come down to whether or not Marshall can stop the Ragin Cajuns running attack. For the season, Marshall was susceptible to being run over by opposing teams rushing attacks. They allowed 188.8 yards a game on the ground a game. The Ragin Cajuns love to run the ball and they did it for 191.9 yards a game this season. Marshall on offense loves to throw the ball, unfortunately for them, Louisiana has a strong defense against the pass. The Ragin Cajuns' defense is one of the best in the country in turning the ball over and I expect them to get a couple of turnovers against Marshall. Marshall has played well under their first-year coach but is overmatched in this one. Even though ULL is playing without thier head coach in this game they will still dominate the Thundering Herd.
