Utah State Aggies have a prolific passing game that has big strike capabilities. With that kind of passing attack, you are never out of a game or cover. Oregon State's defense in general and secondary in particular is a little suspect. The secondary allowed 7.5 yards per attempt, and the defensive front got little pressure on the quarterback, recording the fifth-fewest sacks in all of college football. Oregon State likes to run the ball but as Utah State showed against San Diego State they can at least slow down a potent running game. Three things could swing this game. One, motivation, This game means more to Utah State than Oregon State and I give them the motivation factor. Two, injuries, Oregon State has some key players missing including the nation's fifth-leading tackler from their defense. Three, Oregon State had three bad losses on the road whereas Utah State picked up some big wins on the road. I like Utah State to keep this one close if not win outright.
