The Kansas Jayhawks are coming off a win over South Dakota last week while the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers took care of The Citadel first game of the season. The Kansas Jayhawks went 0-9 last season and 0-8 in the Big 12, so winning their first game was huge, but Kansas hasn’t won back-to-back games since September of 2018. Kansas returns 15 starters from last season, six on offense and nine on defense. The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers went 11-1 last year and 8-0 in the Sun Belt Conference. Coastal Carolina hasn’t lost a regular-season game since November of 2019.

Coastal Carolina has scored at least 34 points in five of their last six games and on the other side, Kansas has allowed at least 38 points in eight of their last 10 games. The Jayhawks scored 15.8 points a game last season and put up 17 in their first game this season. Coastal Carolina has gone over in 15 of their last 17 played in September. Kansas has gone over in their last seven against a team with a winning record. I expect Kansas to score enough to push this game over the total.
