THE PROFESSOR’S MLB “CLASS-IS-IN-SESSION!”
(MLB) Washington vs. Miami,
Money Line: -105.00 Washington (Away)
Result: Loss
The Washington Nationals took the first game of a three-game set against the Miami Marlins. Washington dropped two of three to the Brewers before yesterday's win. Eric Fedde allowed one earned run in 6.1 innings to gain the win. The Nationals will go with Josiah Gray for today's start. Gray has posted an 0-1 record with a 3.90 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 30.0 innings. The Marlins were swept by the Reds over the weekend and then dropped yesterday's game. They will try to get a much-needed win by sending Edward Cabrera to the mound for his Major League debut. In the minors, he has posted a 3-4 record in 13 starts with a 2.93 ERA with 92 strikeouts in 61.1 innings.
Gray has pitched well for the Nationals. He has allowed six earned runs on 14 hits in 17.0 innings over his last three starts. Cabrera was not great in the minors and the Nationals can hit. I like the Nationals to get the win in this one as I don't like pitchers in their debuts, especially when they were not great in the minors.

Play on Washington.
