The Oakland Athletics have dropped the first three games of their four-game set against the Chicago White Sox. The A's offense has struggled in this series as they have scored just four runs in the first three games. The A's will need to get better production and a good outing from Coe Irvin to avoid a sweep. Irvin is 8-11 this season with a 3.52 ERA.

The White Sox have all phases going right now. The offense, starting pitching and the pen are all working hand in hand. The Sox will go for the sweep by sending Dylan Cease to the mound. He has posted a 4.04 ERA in 124.2 innings with 165 strikeouts and 49 walks.

The A's have been struggling at the plate while the White Sox have finally got most of their pieces back and their offense is humming right along. Cease has pitched better at home this season. The White Sox need to get 5 or 6 innings from Cease as the backend of their pen is almost unhittable.
