The Los Angeles Angels are coming off an 8-3 loss to Oakland and now will be facing Texas Rangers. The Angels offense managed just five hits in the loss. Reid Detmers took allowed six runs on six hits in 4.1 innings to take the loss. The Angels did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted. The Texas Rangers are coming off a nice 4-3 come from behind win over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday. Andy Ibanez hit a 2-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game and then Jonah Heim hit a walk-off shot to win the game. The Rangers will counter with Dane Dunning on the mound for today's start. He is 4-7 with a 4.20 ERA and 90 strikeouts.

Dunning has pitched better than his wins or losses. His major problem has been run support from the Rangers but it will be hard to find more runs after trading away Joey Gallo. These two teams are the worst two teams in the AL West but they are not fighting to stay out of last place. The Rangers put up just 3.86 runs a game. Take the Angels against the offensive deficient Rangers.
