The Pittsburgh Pirates have been on a nice run having six of their last nine and took three out of four against the Cardinals over the weekend. The Pirates will look to keep things going in the right direction by sending Tyler Anderson to the mound. So far this season, he has posted a 4.82 ERA with 69 strikeouts and 21 walks in 80.1 innings. The Rockies did not have a good weekend, having been swept by the Milwaukee Brewers in three straight. The Rockies will look to turn things around by sending Kyle Freeland to the mound. So far this season, he has posted a 7.76 ERA with 19 strikeouts and 12 walks in 26.2 innings.

Freeland has been inconsistent this season. He had given up 18 earned runs in three starts before had a good game going six innings and allowing just one earned in 6.0 innings in his last outing against the Mariners. Anderson has given up three or fewer earned in four of his last five. Pittsburgh has been playing well as of late and will take them with the better pitcher on the mound.
