The San Francisco Giants shut out the Los Angeles Angels in the first game of a two-game set. San Francisco came into yesterday's game having taken two of three from the Phillies. Yesterday, the Giants scored four runs in the first and never looked back. The Giants will look to keep things going by sending Kevin Gausman to the mound. he has had a nice season so far, posting a 1.51 ERA with 103 strikeouts and just 19 walks in 89.2 innings.

The Angels are were coming off a productive weekend against the Tigers in which they won three of four. The Angels couldn't scratch a run off of the Giants pitchers yesterday. The Angels will counter with Shohei Ohtani. He has posted a 3-1 record this season with a 2.70 ERA with 73 strikeouts in 53.1 innings.

These are two evenly matched pitchers. Ohtani has pitched well in June, posting a 2.62 ERA and he has cut his walk rate drastically in recent outings. He has given up just three walks in 17 innings this month. In Gausman's last outing he went eight innings and allowed just two runs. He has posted a 1.51 ERA, which is second to Jacob de Grom. I am taking the Giants to beat the Angels again in this one,
