The Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs both came into this series struggling a bit as both teams had lost four of their last five games. The Marlins struck first in the series taking game one by a 10-2 score. The Marlins will look to build on yesterday's win by handing the ball to Pablo Lopez for the start. He is 2-4 this season with a 3.12 ERA and 78 strikeouts. The Cubs were done in once again by a lack of offense and poor pitching. The Cubs will look to right the ship by turning to Jake Arrieta, He has had an up and down season to this point and has posted a 5-7 record with a 5.14 ERA and 51 strikeouts. He has done well against the Marlins in his career, posting an 8-1 with a 3.64 ERA and 69 strikeouts.

I have been burned a few times this year believing in Arrieta. The Marlins offense has been hitting as of late and at least with Lopez on the mound you are a decent pitcher for Miami. The Cubs offense has been a rollercoaster ride all season and for the past few games, it has been at the bottom of the hill. Take the Marlins at +money.
