The St. Louis Cardinals come into this game after taking down the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-5. The Cardinals will counter with Carlos Martinez taking the mound. He is 3-4 with a 4.35 ERA and 22 strikeouts this season. Against the Cubs, he is 4-5 with a 4.69 ERA and 113 strikeouts.

Martinez was rolling before his last start with an EA under 1. Hendricks got lit up early in the season but he seems to have figured things out and has posted a 2.70 ERA in his last three starts. This game looks like an over-play but I am on the other side.
