He has posted a 5.81 ERA in 1.0 innings with 35 strikeouts and 16 walks. The Tigers were riding a three-game sweep of the Royals before yesterday's loss. The Tigers will counter with Jose Urena on the mound. He has posted a 3.60 ERA in 40.0 innings with 31 strikeouts and 18 walks.
Urena has pitched well this season but lasted only 4.1 innings in his last outing and that does not bode well for a Tigers pen that has been terrible all season. Chicago has found their bats and Williams should pitch better against the Tigers on the road this season than he has fared so far.
