They will look to continue their dominance of the Tigers by sounding Jameson Taillon to the mound. He has made four starts this season and has compiled a 6.23 ERA over 17.1 innings with 21 strikeouts and just 2 walks. The Tigers will hope to better by sending Spencer Turnbull to the mound. He has pitched 11 innings in two games and has posted a 3.27 ERA to go with 11 strikeouts and 2 walks. Taillon has been inconsistent this year with a couple of bad starts and a couple of good ones. Turnbull has been ok this year but just doesn't get any support at the plate. The Tigers are the worst offensive team in the MLB and their pitching is next-to-last. Turnbull has lost his last four road starts si I am taking the more talented team in the Yankees and laying the 1.5 runs against a team that hasn't been producing at the plate.
