The last time Carlos Rodon faced the Indians he tossed a no-hitter for the White Sox. For the season Rodon has been a huge surprise as the Sox were not even sure they wanted him back this season. He is 2-0 to start the season and more impressive is the fact he has not allowed an earned run in 14 innings this season. He has also shown good command of his pitches striking out 16 and walking three. The Sox were pounded yesterday by the Red Sox after sweeping Boston on Sunday. The Indians counter with Zack PLesak taking the mound. He has found it difficult in his career against the White Sox and Plesac has struggled against the White Sox in his career and his first start against them this year he didn't make it out of the first inning. For the season he is 1-2 with a 5.27 ERA, allowing 8 earned runs on 16 hits, with two walks and 10 strikeouts in 13.2 total innings. I don't expect Rodon to throw another no-hitter but I do expect him to keep the Indians off the board enough for the Sox bats to get to Plesac again.
