The Phoenix Suns will be playing the second game of a back to back when they take on the Denver Nuggets. Phoenix took care of business last night against the Utah Jazz 106-95 but now must travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets. The Suns have found it rough going against the Nuggets, dropping 15 of the last 17 meetings. The Suns are putting up 109 points a game and on the defensive end, they are giving up a league-best 98.5 points. The offense is led by Devin Booker with 19 points a game. Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges add 15.5 points and Bridges grabs six rebounds. Chris Paul chips in 11.8 points and dishes out 9.5 assists. Deandre Ayton adds a double-double a night with 11.5 points to go with 11.8 rebounds.
Denver is just 1-3 this season and is coming off a loss to Sacramento in a game they probably should have won. They wasted an outstanding performance for Jokic who had a triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds and he added 12 assists in the loss. As a team, the Nuggets are putting up 117.3 points a game this season. On the defensive end, they are giving up 120.3 points a game. The offense is led by Nikola Jokic with 24.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 13.5 assists a game. Michael Porter Jr. adds 19.5 points, and he grabs 6.8 rebounds). Jamal Murray chips in 17.7 points, and 4.7 rebounds. Monte Morris, Will Barton, and Paul Millsap all are in double figures.
This will be a tough spot for Phoenix coming off a game in Utah last night and now must play at altitude in Denver. Phoenix has lost 15 of their last 17 meetings with the Nuggets. Sooner or later the Nuggets will pick up their defense to last year's level. The Suns will have to battle the fatigue factor. Denver is a good offensive team and is shooting the ball well, it is their defense that is letting them down. I am taking the Nuggets at home against a tired Phoenix team.
Play on Denver.
