NFL 10* OPENING DAY GAME OF THE WEEK
(NFL) Dallas vs. LA Rams,
Point Spread: -2.00 | -110.00 Dallas (Away)
Result: Loss
The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 8-8 season as they failed to make the playoffs. They will have someone new patrolling the sidelines as they went out and hired former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy to coach the team. Dak Prescott will lead the offense once again, after throwing for 4,902 yards last season with 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Ezekiel Elliott is back after rushing for 1,357 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup each had over 1,000 receiving yards. They added more receiving help by drafting CeeDee Lamb at #17 overall in the 2020 NFL draft.

The Los Angeles Rams finished the season at 9-7 and missed the playoffs after making the Super Bowl the year before. Jared Goff will once again quarterback the Rams offense. He threw for 4,638 yards last season, with 22 touchdowns and a career-high 16 interceptions. The offense took a hit with the losing Todd Gurley II and Brandin Cooks as cap casualties. They will try and replace Gurley with rookie Cam Akers out of Florida State. Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp each had over 1,100 receiving yards last year.

Dallas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games on turf. Los Angeles is 0-7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a home dog. Even though Gurley was not great last season, it will be difficult to replace him with a rookie who has had little time to practice and no preseasons games to learn the offense. Dallas and Prescott will need to have a good year if they expect to meet expectations. Dallas has a more potent offense and it will show in this game.

Play on Dallas.
