The Seattle Seahawks finished in second place in the NFC West last season with an 11-5 record. The offense was led once again by Russell Wilson, who threw for 4,110 yards, with 31 touchdowns and a career-low 5 interceptions. Chris Carson rushed for 1,230 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. Seattle and went out and got help for Carson by signing Carlos Hyde. Tyler Lockett had a 1,000-yard receiving season, and DK Metcalf had 900 receiving yards and 7 TD catches.

The Atlanta Falcons finished last season with a 7-9 overall record after starting the season 1-7. They did finish the season strong having won six of their last eight. The offense will be led once again by quarterback Matt Ryan after throwing for 4,466 yards last season, with 26 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The Falcons changed runningbacks this season letting go of Devonta Freeman, and bringing in former Ram Todd Gurley II. Julio Jones returns after his 6th straight pro-bowl and 6th straight 1,000-yard receiving season.

Seattle is 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 road games. Atlanta is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as a home underdog. Wilson seems to play better each year and they have a good chance to have a powerful ground attack to take some pressure off of Wilson. Seattle has the better defense and that should carry them to a win on the road.
