This is an 8* SUPER TOTAL on the OVER Purdue/Maryland.

Both teams have been playing to several lower-scoring games to open up the season, but I expect those trends to end here in what I anticipate will be a wide-open "shootout."

After seeing the total fly OVER the number in their first three games, the Boilermakers have seen the total go UNDER the number in their last two, including in their 20-10 win at Minnesota last weekend.

Maryland has seen the total go UNDER in four of its five games this season, including in its 27-13 win over Michigan State last weekend.

Purdue QB Aidan O'Connell is primed for a big day in my opinion, he had 199 yards last weekend. Devin Mockobee though was difference-maker with 112 rushing yards and a TD.

Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa had a big game last weekend, finishing with 314 passing yards and a TD. Antwain Littleton had 120 rushing yards.

With a spread like this, the oddsmakers are reckoning a tight battle. And so do I, but definitely an offensive one.
