This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Avs/Kings.

For a couple of different reasons, I'm expecting a wide-open shootout between the Avalanche and the Kings in LA on Tuesday night.

Colorado has been trading good games with bad ones over its last five games, but I think it can build off its latest 3-0 home win over Calgary (as note that the Avs have seen the ottal go OVER the number in six of their last eight off a shutout home victory.)

The Avalanche average 3.83 GPG, which is ranked second. They've had to be sharp offensively, as Colorado's defense has taken a step back this season, entering this one conceding 2.82 GPG.

LA broke a two-game slide with a 3-2 shootout win over Florida in its last game. It was a big upset home victory, as the Kings were roughly +200 underdogs.

LA averages 2.87 GPG, while allowing 2.80, but it plays with revenge here after a 4-1 loss to Colorado in January, which in our case is important, as the Kings have seen the total go OVER the number in eight of their last 11 in trying to revenge a loss against an opponent in which it was held to one or less goals in.

This one flies well OVER before the final horn blares.
