Southampton will be hungry here after two straight losses. A game against lowly Watford is just what the doctor ordered to get back on track.
Possibly/probably anyways. To do that though it'll have to be careful here and wait for their visiting side to make the first mistake.
The Hornets have lost two straight as well and sit in the relegation zone, meaning that they can't afford to simply roll over here either.
I think this is going to be a classic "war of attrition" and because of that, I'm recommending a play on the UNDER.
Southampton is off a 2-1 loss to Newcastle, while Watford is off a 4-0 loss to Wolverhampton. Hodgson's side will be doubling down on the defensive end here ahead of hte trip to St. Mary's.
I expect a competitive, but lower-scoring UNDER in this one.
