This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER Avs/Bruins.

Boston has seen the total go UNDER in four straight. It broke a two-game slide last time out with a 3-2 OT win at Ottawa.

The Bruins average 2.84 GPG, while allowing 2.78. This is an important game for Boston though for a couple of different reasons and I expect them to set the pace here vs. the league's No. 1 offense.

Boston hits the road after this for a tough six-game road trip, putting added emphasis onto tonight's contest.

It also plays with revenge after falling 4-3 at Colorado on January 26th.

Colorado averages 3.98 GPG (actually 2nd in the league), while allowing 2.80. The Avs broke a string of six straight UNDERs with a 5-3 win over Buffalo last time out. I say they keep the foot on the gas here in this difficult road venue.

Look for a classic "shootout" between these two conference heavyweights. The play is the OVER.
