This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Wild/Jets.

Minnesota is a really good team. At least its record would indicate that. It's 30-11 overall and hat includes going 14-8 on the road.

The Wild have opened up the second half by going 2-1. They lost 2-0 at Winnipeg. They then won 3-2 over Carolina four nights later, and then Minnesota pulled away for a big 7-4 victory over Detroit on Sunday.

So now the Wild have a chance here to avenge that setback against the Jets here last week and I expect them to carry over their recent offensive momentum, especially after getting shutout the first time against Winnipeg.

Minnesota averages 3.80 goals per game, which is third in the NHL, while allowing 2.84. which ranks 18th.

The Wild aren't relying on their suffocating defensive play to win games this year, they're trying to bury teams offensively.

The Jets have gone 2-2 since the All Star break. They're off a 3-1 loss here at home to Chicago. They average 2.82 goals per game, while allowing 2.89. That's not a great recipie for success obviously.

I say Minnesota keeps the foot on the proverbial gas pedal here and Winnipeg will have to match pace.
