10* NON-CONF TOP TOTAL - HUGE PLAY!
(NHL) Carolina vs. Chicago,
Total: 5.50 | -118.00 Over
Result: Win
Total: 5.50 | -118.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* NON-CONFERENCE TOP TOTAL on the OVER Canes/Hawks.
We knew coming into this season that Carolina would be a good team, and we knew coming in that Chicago would struggle somewhat.
But who could have predicted these extremes, as Chicago is just 1-7-2 and the Hurricanes are 8-0.
Is Carolina as good as its early record would indicate? Is Chicago is really as terrible as its record indicates?
Who knows right now. We'll find out at the end of the season for sure, but I'd argue that, no, Carolina is good but not the best team in the league, and that yes, the Blackhawks are bad but they're not going to be 1-7 forever.
And so, Chicago enters off a much-needed 5-1 win over Ottawa here on Monday night (I actually had the OVER in that one and it PUSHED) and I do think the Hawks can keep that momentum rolling here.
Carolina is off a tight 2-1 win at a desperate Arizona team that likes to play at a slow pace anyways.
The Hurricanes have been really adept this year at playing any style of game though, sso with the home side pushing the pace of this one to try and build off its first victory of the year, the play on this game is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
