10* VERY EARLY TOTAL OF THE YEAR - +$29K!
(NHL) NY Rangers vs. Ottawa,
Total: 5.50 | -118.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 5.50 | -118.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the OVER Rangers/Senators.
We base our selections on many different things. We don't follow any particular handicapping methodology, but instead believe that being flexibile with our approach is the best way to secure profits over the long-term.
This particular play is based upon the situation, lop-sided trends/numbers and strong ATS O/U trends.
New York is 3-1-1 this season, but it's seen the total go UNDER in all five games.
Ottawa is 2-2 and it's seen the total go UNDER in all four of its games so far.
The Law of Averages is flawed in many ways, but I've always felt that lop-sided numbers/trends have a way of naturally "correcting" themselves over the short, mid and long-term.
New York has also seen the total go OVER in eight of its last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row, while Ottawa has seen the total go OVER in seven of its last ten in the same position.
Igor Shesterkin has proven to be a capable goaltender for New York, but I think this young Senators team will have its opportunities at home.
Look for both teams to push the pace from the opening face-off until the final horn and expect this total to fly OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
Good luck, NP
